I have been baking these for her for since I found your recipe in 2006, today is Thanksgiving here in Canada and I am making them for our evening meal. They will also be made for Christmas dinner. When I asked my 36 year old what her favorite dessert was she said Texas Road House Rolls….she would not want any dessert, she loves these so much. I have to say they are very, very good, I think even better than the Road House’s! Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

I think you could probably use regular beaters instead of a dough hook. Just be careful when the soft ball starts to form, I wouldn’t want your mixer to become overheated because the beaters are having trouble spinning. It may be best to remove the dough at that point and then work the rest of the flour in by hand if all of it hasn’t been incorporated.

The dough is rising now and I’m waiting to see how it comes out. Last time we went to Texas Roadhouse we had to ask them to hold the rolls (previously when we had gone there, we were not yet gluten-free) and it was so sad. Btw, love your blog.
