The alcohol makes it get super cold without freezing, but the Dawn makes it get really more gel-like. Sorry I can’t remember how much! The plastics guys & ophthalmologists that did eye surgery & blepharoplasties (eye lids) liked them because they stayed softer & didn’t hurt as much, kept the pressure off. Frozen peas also always works, but I like the gel-type better!

It is also much easier to wrap in a towel because of the fins on the side and the fact that it is made of rubber.
