Lori, I&#039;m sorry, I&#039;m not seeing exactly what you&#039;re referring to either in the post or in the recipe card. Can you tell me specifically where you&#039;re reading that, so I can help you, please?
The directions that I see in my recipe card say to add the garlic to the batter and there&#039;s no mention any garlic powder being used in the butter mixture that you brush the tops of the biscuits with. 
Could you have clicked the link to the original recipe on The Slow Roasted Italian&#039;s site? I read Donna&#039;s post and she does talk about brushing the biscuits with garlic butter, but I don&#039;t see garlic added to the butter in her recipe card.

I handled it very little so they would be flaky. They turned out beautifully! I also put in chili powder and a few red pepper flakes instead of Cajun seasoning.  I brushed them with the butter, parsley and I added Old Bay Seasoning. Perfect!]]></description>
