Something went terribly wrong. When I poured blueberry jello with blueberries over cream cheese it all just soaked into the crust which was baked for 10 minutes previously., Spreading cream cheese whip mixture over crust was tedious. It appeared that one must double the jello amount called for in order to get a layer? Then I doubled the red jello and it still didn't form a layer, I had chilled as instructed. I would not make this again but will take the idea of pretzel crust and try something else. Mine looked nothing like the one in the picture.
Am taking to a party regardless, but it just doesn't look very pretty like one in picture. :-(

This was a fail for me. I’ve made strawberry pretzel salad for years so I thought why not add a blue layer? I added extra butter to the pretzels to make it clump. As soon as I poured the blue jello over the first layer of white…it displaced and went below the white, leaving blueberries only and floating cream cheese. Will let it set up and see if I can save it.

Correction to my previous reply. It was supposed to say there’s not enough butter to make the pretzels set when cool. They stay loose crumbs

Great recipe. A nice patriotic change from strawberry pretzel jello which I have to make for every family function. Only one big problem. There is not enough butter in the pretzel crust to make the pretzels that when cooled. The pretzels remain a mass of crumbs Making it very difficult to spread the cream cheese whipped topping layer. I ended up having to use way too much of the cream cheese mixture just to make a layer with the crumbs getting in the way . Also if you make the Jell-O layers to soon also if you make the Jell-O layers to soon as directed they set up before you need them , they set up before you need them. Recipe itself is delicious just a few tweaks in the preparation
