Rosie, that's fantastic!! Thanks so much for sharing your story! You are an inspiration. After a VERY long hiatus, I've taken up running again with just the plan to do it to keep me in shape, no long term goals with it as of yet, but who knows.
Thanks for leaving your comment and for your sweet words about my site. I look forward to bringing you lots more deliciousness and will think of you on my run tomorrow.

Hi! Keep up the great work on your running! I’m 60 now but when I turned 40 I did the San Diego Rock n Roll marathon! I did it with the Leukemia & Lymphoma society Team in Training group. I couldn’t have done it alone because I wouldn’t have had the accountability.. it was a fantastic time. About 6 months of training. The year before I
did a half marathon in Montana, beautiful! And then a couple more halfs with the training portion of the marathon. It was fun! My time was 5 hours and 8 minutes. I was slow however ran the whole way and felt really good afterwards. I recommend a bit of hill training if your course will have hills and it was helpful to have a bit of sprints here and there to change it up but if was really good for cardio. Day of race pack handy snacks. I had a small fanny pack with some Goo bars/packs. And what saved me in the last few miles were mini pretzel bites stuffed with peanut butter. Some Angel running next to me saw me drained and gave me a few, it saved me and I finished strong. Love all the food ideas and visit the site often, good luck!!!
