This easy Homemade Turkey Gravy Recipe is rich and velvety and is the perfect topping for your Thanksgiving turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing. AND it can be make with and without pan drippings!

Ingredients
2tablespoonswater
2tablespoonscorn starch
¼cupturkey pan drippings*SEE NOTE
2tablespoonsturkey pan drippings*SEE NOTE
¼cupall-purpose flour
2 garlic clovesminced
20ounces low-sodium beef broth
10 ounceslow-sodium chicken broth
¾teaspoonpoultry seasoning
½teaspoonpepper
salt to taste
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix the water and cornstarch. Set aside.
Melt the butter over medium-high heat in a large saucepan. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 5 minutes stirring constantly, until golden brown in color. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds or so.
Slowly whisk in the broths and bring to a boil. Mix the cornstarch mixture before adding to the saucepan. Add the poultry seasoning, pepper and salt, if needed. Reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, until thickened.
Notes
This recipe makes about 4 cups. To make this gravy without pan drippings, use 6 tablespoons of butter as a substitute. Also, in place of the the poultry seasoning, you can substitute ½ teaspoon each of dried sage, rosemary, and thyme, and a pinch of nutmeg.
