Alright, I figure it’s about time to let you all know about the products I am loving in my kitchen and things that I’m really wanting to help me be more efficient (couldn’t we all use that?).
I’ve had e-mails and inquiries from many of you about different products you’ve been asking about, so here are the ones I recommend.
I’ll also be adding to the page as I discover more things I can’t possibly do without, so this page will probably always be a work in progress.
My KitchenAid Mixer
While mine may not be the latest and greatest model, it’s mine and I absolutely love it. When my grandmother passed away, my mother and aunt said that I could have it, so in sentimental value it’s priceless, but in terms of being a really good, dependable, and awesome product, I wouldn’t use any other mixer. The one I have is about 30 years old and still works like a charm.
George Foreman Grill
My mother-in-law got us this for a Christmas present a few years ago after I’d seen coworkers using it.
This thing is AMAZING! I’ve used it to make a few different things, but time and time again, I use it to cook chicken. And I’ll tell you why.
If your chicken breast is thin enough, it cooks it in 5. Minutes. FLAT!
No joke.
It’s cooked at the same time on both sides, from the outside in.
This is awesome when you’re in a rush to get something together for dinner, like the Summer Israeli Couscous Chicken Salad – just season it with the McCormick’s Montreal Chicken Seasoning.
Or maybe you need some chicken in a jiffy to add to that Chicken Salad you want for lunch.
Or, we’ve also just had the chicken by itself with the McCormick seasoning.
Fast food, but homemade. Nothing better.
I honestly can’t say enough about this product.
Crockpot or Slow Cooker (whichever you prefer to call it)
Mine certainly does not look like this new and improved model.
Min is vintage. Ok, maybe not that vintage because it was a wedding present only 23 years ago, but it still works and is great for those days when I know we aren’t going to be home late and I won’t have time to prep AND cook dinner. Those nights are great for one of the most popular recipes here at 365, the Crockpot BBQ Root Beer Shredded Chicken Sandwiches.
It’s just so awesome when you can prep dinner in the morning and it will be ready for you with little or additional prep when you walk through the door. Love that.
Nutri Bullet
Ok, so this is actually my daughters’ – they each have one because our youngest bought it and then the oldest decided after using it she couldn’t do without one either. Now when they leave, I’ll need to purchase my own.
This thing makes smoothies like it’s nobody’s business – SO much better than the blender I have!
It totally purees the fruit, so there aren’t any chunks. ‘Cause you know those larger bits of fruit are not gonna be fitting through your straw.
We love to drink the Berry Blast Green Smoothie in addition to lots of other ones.
Oggi 5 Piece Creme Brulee Set
This thing is…Da BOMB!!
This little torch is SO cool and easy to handle, making it wonderful for those small kitchen jobs or when you want to add a little fire to your life. Just make sure to have a fire extinguisher handy and use your best judgement. I’m not going to be the one held responsible should you not take the necessary precautions and don’t say I didn’t warn you. But hey, if I can use this thing and not set anything on fire, so can you.
This baby is PERFECT for browning that sugar coating on the yummy Creme Brulee or browning the marshmallow frosting on the S’Mores Cake. You’ll love it and it makes the perfect gift for the cook in your life!
