Cynthia, my apologies! When the recipe was updated, it wasn’t updated correctly, so I apologize for the inconvenience and feel horrible that there was a waste of ingredients.
It should read 1 and ½ cups flour PLUS 6 additional teaspoons. I have updated the recipe card to read as such.
I hope that you make them again.

Recipe says “ 1 1/2 + 6 cups + teaspoons Flour.”
Does this mean 7 cups really??

My husband and tried to makes these he put together the dry ingredients and I did the wet.

When we combined them there was WAY TOO MUCH FLOUR. Never could get dough to develop just a floury dry mess.

Was this a mis-print or did I miss something?
These sound so yummy and it was a real shame to have to toss all that product away.

Please help.

Renee, the original recipe made about 7 dozen and when I’ve made them, I’ve gotten about 4 dozen cookies, out of the dough, cutting them from the 2 2-inch wide logs to a diameter of 1/4-inch thick or slightly less. And I say about because it was probably 3 – 4 cookies less than an exact 4 dozen. Hope that helps.

Is THIS recipe supposed to yield 4 dozen cookies? Or are you saying that the ORIGINAL recipe yields 4 dozen and YOUR recipe is half of that? Because unless these cookies are VERY small, there’s no way I’m getting 4 dozen out of this. Please clarify as I was going to make these for a group but now I don’t think I’ll have enough.
