My recipe is similar only I use more eggs and then, only the yolks. It makes it a lot richer and creamier, plus instead of flour, I use cornstarch. I don’t like to use flour as a thickener for most things….well, just because I don’t like it. LOL I use cocoa, and generally it’s Hershey’s or Toll House and neither of them are expensive and they work fine. My recipe was handed down from my Grandma and this is how she always made it and she was a great baker.
